A healthy vegetarian dish
INGREDIENTS
Soy chunks 200 gms (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
Onion 1 (paste)
Coconut (small piece) (paste)
Peanuts 1 tbsp (paste)
Coriander powder ½ tsp
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
Garlic paste ¼ tsp
Onion 1 (cut into julienne)
Green chillies 5 (slit open)
Ginger 2 inch piece (cut into julienne)
Coriander leaves for garnish
Water 1 cup
Salt to taste
METHOD
Heat oil in a vessel.
Add onion and fry until it gets brown in colour.
Add onion paste, garlic paste, peanut paste and coconut paste. Stir for 1 minute.
Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt.
Add 1 cup of water and cook for 2 minutes.
Add soaked soy chunks and cook for 5 minutes on a low flame.
Garnish with coriander leaves, ginger and green chillies.
Serve with rice or chapatti (flat Indian bread).
